{"id":27628,"date":"2025-01-13T16:32:55","date_gmt":"2025-01-13T19:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/raci.org.ar\/?p=27628"},"modified":"2025-01-15T18:35:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T21:35:57","slug":"local-initiatives-fund-2025-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raci.org.ar\/sistema\/en\/local-initiatives-fund-2025-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Initiatives Fund (2025-2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Embassies of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand accredited to Argentina and Paraguay have unified their local cooperation efforts and jointly launched a call for proposals for the Local Initiatives Fund, which will include project support from the three embassies. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0RACI will coordinate the call for proposals that\u00a0 will be open until 13th February 2025 at 11:30 PM (local time). Organizations from Argentina and Paraguay are invited to submit proposals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Fund unifies the following programmes designed to support small-scale, high-impact projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Direct Aid Programme (DAP) of the Embassy of Australia in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) of the Embassy of Canada in Argentina and Paraguay<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Fund of the Embassy of New Zealand in Argentina and Paraguay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The joint fund is aimed at projects conceived and designed primarily by local partners. Projects will be selected and approved by the three embassies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Thematic Priorities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All projects must align with at least one of the following thematic priorities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gender equity and empowerment of women and girls.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inclusive governance, focusing on promoting diversity and the rule of law.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Democracy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Protection and promotion of human rights, including the rights of Indigenous peoples, youth, and LGBTQI+ individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human dignity: health, education, and nutrition.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inclusive growth, understood as growth that works for everyone, prioritizing the promotion of women&#8217;s economic rights, access to decent jobs and entrepreneurship, investment in the poorest and most vulnerable, and the preservation of economic gains.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Environment and climate action focused on adaptation and mitigation, as well as water management.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Eligible organizations are:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Local non-governmental, community-based, and non-profit organizations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Local educational institutions working on local projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International non-governmental organizations working on local development activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International, intergovernmental, multilateral, and regional institutions, organizations, and agencies involved in local development activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canadian non-governmental and non-profit organizations working on local development activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Details of this call<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The deadline to submit applications is\u00a0 <\/span><b>13th February, 2025 at 11:30 PM <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(local tie).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This call consists of two phases. In the first, an expression of interest must be submitted, providing summarized project data.
