Within the framework of the activities of the G20 2018, whose presidency was exercised by Argentina, RACI acted as Co Chair of the Affinity Group of Civil Society: Civil 20 (C20).

The Argentine Chamber of Deputies approved the declaration of interest that recognises the workshops that RACI carries out since 2009.

RACI obtains its legal status as a Federation.

RACI's has been declared an Institution of Social Interest by the Buenos Aires City Legislature. The bill was prompted by Oscar Moscariello current Argentine Ambassador to Portugal, and concluded in an event organized by Congressman Esteban Penayo which was leaded by Congresswoman Mercedes de las Casas.

RACI became part of the Regional Civil Society Center for Latin America and the Caribbean, which is one of the six centers that integrate the Civil Society Innovation Initiative (CSII). This project is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and the United States Agency for Development.

RACI joined the Affinity Group of National Associations (AGNA). AGNA is a network of national CSOs platforms created in 2004 by CIVICUS, the World Alliance for Citizen Participation. With more than 64 members, AGNA was founded under the premise that national associations offer a unique collective voice to the civil society; they give special support to its members and work as key partners in the dialogue with government and businesses.
